Yasmin & Roger, a Wedding Barn Old Hall wedding

Yasmin & Roger were based over in Australia but were keen to marry in Rogers hometown in Suffolk.

The couple were very laid back and keen for a fun and super cool celebration. They chose The Wedding Barn at Old Hall as they loved the idea of a rural location but still close to Rogers family where he grew up.

The venue is a ‘dry hire’ venue so all that was included in the venue hire were the tables and chairs. So we had to build the wedding almost from scratch. The end result was stunning! It was the perfect wedding day for Yas and Roger and every single guest had such a wonderful time.

Boho chic coupled with relaxed glam

Yasmin & Roger had a clear vision of how they wanted their day to but needed some guidance and support from LMW to turn their vision into a reality. With a ‘dry hire’ venue there really is so much to consider and remember to book to ensure the day runs smoothly.

We hired in trestle tables for banquets style dining as the couple were keen to have a sociable and less formal dining experience. These trestle tables looked great without linen so we kept them ‘naked’ and filled the tables with beautiful bud vases of different varieties filled with gorgeous blooms. Some of these flowers were actually used for the ceremony and then we reused them for the wedding breakfast so that nothing was wasted! The wedding was full of earthy tones, Burnt orange, terracotta, ivory & green. Set agianst the exposed brick of the barn; the whole look was a stunning mix of boho chic and relaxed glam.

Rustic peachy tones with elements of burnt orange hues and tints of ivory. This colour palette was just stunning! A perfect combination for a beautiful ‘rustic luxe’ style of wedding. Yes I love a barn, yes I love rustic weddings BUT what I also love is elegance, glamour and little touches of luxury. Bring them together and…. voila! Perfection!

By night the party was in full swing with the DJ keeping everyone on the dance floor with an incredible playlist.

The next morning LMW were back at the venue to clear up after what had been the most fantastic, stylish and very fun wedding.

Planning Support and On-the-day Coordination

Yasmin and Roger booked LMW for Planning support and on-the-day coordination. As they were based in Australia at the time of planning their wedding, it was important for the couple to have someone experienced here in the UK who was their eyes and ears on their behalf. They called upon my knowledge of local suppliers to bring their wedding to life. We had great fun and I really enjoyed the regular video calls with the couple. Throughout the planning, I built up a very clear idea of the type of couple they were, and especially their likes and dislikes. This was important so that I could make sure their wedding day was absolutely perfect for them and they loved every minute of it! Which they did.
