Victoria & Laurence, a marquee wedding

July 8, 2023

Victoria and Laurence had a beautiful summer marquee wedding at Laurence’s family home in Woodbridge, Suffolk.

At home beautiful marquee wedding

The couple wanted a relaxed wedding with an abundance of love and celebration. The beautiful surroundings of the family home and garden set the scene for this stunning wedding. The flowers and styling were inspired by the meadow-style colours from the beautiful garden. The open sides of the marquee certainly brought the outside in and inside out seamlessly. Banquet-style dining was perfect for this sociable wedding. A mixture of multicoloured meadow-inspired centrepieces were a perfect addition to the rustic ‘naked’ tables for the wedding breakfast. The sharing platters expertly delivered by Gather & Feast Events were not only aesthetically pleasing but seriously delicious!

Louisa did such an amazing job for our wedding with all the guests saying what an incredible day it was! Louisa was always available and full of ideLouisa helped us with on-the-day coordination for our at-home wedding and also with some planning power hours. She was absolutely amazing from day 1 and would recommend her to anyone. She caught every detail that was missing, was fast and friendly in her communication, and made the day so much more relaxed than it otherwise would have been. She spent the day liaising with suppliers, coordinating the flow of the day, dealing with any issues that arose, and answering any silly questions we had!! Thank you Louisa for everything!

As the sun set the fairy lights were dimmed, colourful uplighters placed strategically around the garden and marquee, creating a very cool party vibe. Cupids Wish kept guests on the dancefloor all evening partying until the early hours!

This wedding was personable, stylish and so much fun!

Wedding Coordination & Planning Power Hours

Victoria initially booked Louisa May Weddings to coordinate the wedding day and ensure that everything ran smoothly. From our first meeting, we hit it off and I supported Victoria and the family during the planning stages, ensuring nothing had been forgotten and everything was moving in the right direction. It was important that on the day, the family of Victoria & Laurence could switch off and enjoy every moment of the special occasion. Louisa May Weddings took over the reins of the day and alleviated the stress of running the day from the parents so everyone really could enjoy themselves and let their hair down!

We had multiple venue visits to walk and talk through the day, locations of marquees, and logistics and get a feel for how the day will work ahead of the actual wedding day. On the day itself, i communicated with all suppliers ensuring the day worked like clockwork, helping with the setup, moving of chairs, lighting and so much more!

Special thanks go to the other suppliers that made V&L’s day so special:
